Vehicle Overview
Jaguar E-type Series 3 Convertible for sale The production of the sensational Jaguar E-type started already back in 1961 with Series 1. More than 10 years later, the E-type was still in production. Now with a big V12 engine in the front and much roomier inside. Some would say these are the best Jaguar E-types ever made.
Exterior: One of the special things with this 1973 Jaguar E-type OTS is the “Greensand” colour. It was a rare choice for an E-type and there are not many around today. The shade of green is very much depending on the light. Here, in the early morning sun it turns more towards mustard yellow. It is a super cool contrast with the olive leather interior and green carpets. Older paintwork with small traces of patina. All the chrome is in excellent original condition. The chrome spoke wire wheels look shiny and are fitted with Pirelli tyres and wheel spinners approved even in Germany. The black vinyl soft top is in good condition and the E-type has a convertible cover when the top is down.
Interior: The leather is dark green and is called Olive in the Jaguar Certificate. It is the original leather in wonderful condition. Nice and soft with a little bit of patina just where the driver slides in. Everything on the dashboard is perfect! No cracks and all those cool flip switches are in order. As you can see, there is even an air condition unit installed. However, at the moment it is not in operation. For us in Scandinavia, the heater is far more important. Also, the trunk area is nice and clean with the spare wheel and jack underneath. A special E-type cover also comes with the car to keep the dust off while parked in your garage.
Engine: The big Jaguar E-type V12 engine is silky smooth once it is warmed up. And, even if I compare it with modern cars, the ride is incredibly comfortable. The power steering and automatic gearbox make cruising in town with the top down very enjoyable. Some of the recent work on the car is.
- Rear axle down from the car for complete brake work and new shocks
- New fuel tank sending unit
- Cooling system refurbished with new hoses and water pump
History: According to the Jaguar Heritage certificate, the car was produced on the 30th of October 1974 and delivered to Jaguar in New York, USA in January 1974. It came to Sweden in 2013 and there has only been one private owner here. Due to some health issues, this wonderful and very original Jaguar E-type Open Two Seater Series 3 left hand drive is now for sale. English Car Care can repair your Jaguar.
