Exterior: This Mercedes 220SE Coupe has the most amazing paintwork I have seen on a car! And the colour combination is so beautiful. It is a very light grey tone that goes so well with the brown leather inside. The panel fit is exceptional and the chrome on the bumpers is as good as it can get. The other smaller parts around the windows etc is showing some patina. All rubber was replaced when the car was repainted last year. The 1963 Mercedes 220SE Coupe was recently fitted with new white stripe tyres.
Interior: Mercedes 220SE Coupe has a brand new leather interior, new carpets and all the wood panels have been refurbished. The original headliner is in a good condition. Steering wheel and gear knob is showing a little bit of age and use. But the overall impression of sitting in to this car is very nice and fresh. The new leather is Mercedes original style.
Engine: Mercedes 220SE Coupe use the 120hp fuel injected straight six. The engine has been serviced, some gaskets were replaced and put back together in the car. The total travel or when it was last rebuilt is unknown. But it runs good today and also the four speed gearbox and final drive has normal function. Brakes have been serviced, and new parts fitted. Electrical system is good and all equipment work.
History: The car was sold new in America and came back to Sweden 1998-05-07. The car was in poor condition coming from America and was never used much here. Now the car had a lot of restoration work and is ready to be enjoyed again. The Mercedes 220SE W111 Coupe is a wonderful elegant classic car that can comfortably transport four adults.
