Jaguar XK120 Coupe 1952 for sale

The biggest breakthrough in Jaguar’s automotive history must be the Jaguar XK120. In my personal opinion, things went downhill from there, even though there were some smaller highlights with cars like the XK150 and the Jaguar E-Type. The Jaguar XK120 was produced from 1948 to 1954 in Open Two-Seater, Coupe, and Drop Head Coupe formats. These cars had breathtaking performance for their time, and I think they are still impressive today. The shape and design of the XK120 Coupe is the reason you are still reading this text.

Exterior: This car has been under restoration for many years and was recently completed. As seen in the pictures, this Jaguar XK is finished in gunmetal grey—or opalescent grey, as Jaguar calls it. The paint is wonderfully glossy, with only a few very minor imperfections. Brand-new chrome details adorn the entire car, and the silver-painted spoke wheels are fitted with new Michelin tyres. The car sits perfectly balanced in ride height and looks just as spectacular underneath as it does on top.

Interior: A specially handcrafted wooden dashboard welcomes you when you open the door to this small and cozy coupe. New dark blue leather and blue carpets. If you are tall, you will be happy to know that the seat has been modified to move further back than the original, making the seating position much more comfortable than it was in 1952. The steering wheel was adjustable on these cars from the factory. For your safety, a set of three-position seat belts has been fitted.

Engine and Mechanics: The original 3.4L engine has been rebuilt to the original specifications and runs perfectly.

History: This Jaguar XK120 Coupe was sold new here in Sweden in 1952. The present owner bought the car in his youth, and it has taken many years to complete the restoration. There was no urgency, and for the owner, the restoration process was more enjoyable than driving it, which is why the car is now for sale. It comes with a lot of extra spare parts that have been collected over the years. We have photos of all the parts, as well as some photos from the restoration.

Why would you want to buy a Jaguar XK120 Coupe? It is a car with incredible styling, especially in the coupe format. It was technically very advanced for its time, and the performance of this car will not leave you embarrassed, even on the highway. It is a car that looks far more expensive than it actually is. It comes with an authentic leather and wood interior that you can actually smell — not sterile like many newer cars.
