The Lamborghini Jarama, produced by the renowned Italian automaker Lamborghini, is a classic sports car that graced the automotive scene from 1970 to 1976. This stylish and angular vehicle was introduced as a successor to the Lamborghini Islero and was aptly named after the Jarama racing circuit in Spain.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the Jarama was its striking design, a hallmark of Lamborghini vehicles from that era. The renowned Italian designer Marcello Gandini, who was also responsible for crafting the iconic Lamborghini Miura and Countach, lent his creative touch to the Jarama. The car featured a 2+2 seating configuration, which was a departure from the typical 2-seat layout seen in many sports cars.

Under the hood, the Jarama was equipped with a formidable 4.0-liter V12 engine, churning out approximately 350 horsepower. This potent powerplant was paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, enabling the Jarama to deliver impressive performance for its time. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in around 6.8 seconds and boasting a top speed of approximately 155 mph (250 km/h), it held its own among sports cars of its era.

During its production run, Lamborghini offered two main variants of the Jarama. The initial model was known as the Jarama GT, and later, the Jarama GTS was introduced. The GTS featured a slightly more powerful engine and underwent some design modifications, though both versions shared the same underlying platform.

The Jarama's chassis was built upon a tubular steel frame, and it boasted independent suspension on all four wheels. Notably advanced for its time, it was also equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, ensuring confident and effective stopping power.

Production numbers of the Lamborghini Jarama were relatively limited, with approximately 327 units of the Jarama GT and 150 units of the Jarama GTS manufactured. As a result, the Jarama remains a relatively rare and collectible Lamborghini model, cherished by enthusiasts and collectors alike.

While the Jarama may not have achieved the same level of iconic status as some of Lamborghini's other creations, such as the Miura or Countach, it still holds a significant place in the brand's storied history. Its distinctive design and potent V12 engine make it a unique and memorable offering from the Italian automaker. If you live in Sweden and want to sell your Lamborghini let us know.
