Mustang Fastback 390 1967 for sale

The 1967 Mustang Fastback 390 is one of the most desirable first-generation Mustangs because it combines the revised 1967 body style with Ford’s 390 ci big-block V8. In factory form, the S-code 390 produced approximately 320 hp and massive low-end torque, making it a significant performance step up from the more common small-block models.

Exterior: The 1967 Mustang Fastback 390 offered here looks stunning in its original Dark Moss Green. It has recently undergone an extensive body restoration and professional respray. During the process, as many factory parts as possible were retained. Most of the chrome and trim are new, and the car is finished with a fresh set of wheels and tires. To maintain period accuracy, white-wall tires were fitted, just as they were when it left the factory in 1967.

Interior: The white leather interior provides a striking contrast against the dark green carpets in the cabin and luggage area. To enhance the premium feel, the front and rear seats have been upholstered in genuine leather rather than the original vinyl. The original body tag is still present on the door. The rear seats fold down to provide a flat surface, and there is even a small access door -- perfect for fitting skis or taking a nap. The trunk area retains its original tartan carpet and spare wheel.

Engine and Mechanics The engine has been thoroughly inspected and fitted with new gaskets. A new exhaust system and hangers have been installed, and the gearbox has undergone a complete rebuild.

History: This Mustang Fastback 390 was imported from California, USA, in late 2020. The current owner purchased the car in early 2021, which is when the restoration began. The car was registered and inspected by Swedish technical control in 2021; periodic inspections are no longer mandatory in Sweden for vehicles 30 years or older. The sale includes the original handbook and a Marti Auto Works report, confirming this as an authentic 1967 Ford Mustang V8 390 Fastback.
