Rover Mini Cooper MPI 1.3 for sale
The Mini Mk7 represents the final chapter in the story of one of the most beloved cars in automotive history. Launched in the late 1990s, the Mk7 retained the classic charm and unique character that made the Mini a true cultural icon. The Mini has always been a classless car, equally at home in the hands of celebrities and royalty as it is with school teachers and construction workers. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the British market was flooded with special editions that transformed the Mini from a simple mode of transport into a fashionable statement. This reinvention helped solidify its status as a valuable asset for BMW, which acquired the brand through its purchase of the Rover Group in 1994. Despite its enduring popularity, Mini production finally came to an end on October 4, 2000, when the last Rover Cooper Mini Sport rolled off the Longbridge production line. By then, the Mini had sold over 5.3 million units worldwide, cementing its legacy as one of the most iconic small cars ever produced.
Exterior: The exterior of this Mini is in truly unique condition. The car retains 100 percent of its original paint, which is in great condition. It has survived remarkably well against rust, a common issue for these cars. The exterior trim pieces are also in good condition. The car features the classic green metallic color with a white roof and stripes. Being a MK7 Mini, it represents the last model with the classic body design, offering the old-school cool look with maximum comfort and reliability. This Mini, without the "sport pack" that includes wider fenders, gives the car a more classic appearance. The underside of the car is also in excellent condition and completely free from rust.
Interior: The interior of the Mini 1.3 MPI is simple yet functional. Everything is mechanical to keep weight low and repairs easy. This car features a half-cloth, half-vinyl interior that is in near-perfect condition. Inside, the Mini is surprisingly spacious. The seating is comfortable, even for taller individuals, and the rear seats can accommodate average-sized passengers, not just children under the age of five. The trunk provides decent space for luggage, making it suitable for weekend getaways. The only non-original feature in the car is the head unit, which has been replaced with a slightly more modern version featuring an AUX port.
Engine and Mechanics: Driving this Rover Mini 1.3 MPI always puts a smile on your face. It may only have 63 horsepower, but weighing just 790 kg, it delivers an engaging driving experience. In my experience, pushing the limits in a slower car can be more fun than only using a fraction of the power in high-performance sports cars. The handling of this Mini is phenomenal, offering the closest feeling to a go-kart on the road, allowing you to push it without worrying about speeding tickets. Jokes aside, the car runs perfectly. As the last of the old-school Minis, it provides all the driving characteristics of a classic Mini with added modern convenience and reliability. The car easily cruises on the highway at 120 km/h without reliability concerns. If anything were to go wrong, it is a simple car to work on with very affordable parts.
History and Documentation: This is another area where this particular Mini Cooper MK7 shines and stands out. It has only had one owner since new, who runs a car workshop specializing in British cars, ensuring it has received the best care. The car is fully serviced and comes with a fully stamped service book. All other original books and both sets of keys are included. Additionally, the original tool kit and every single MOT certificate from new are present. The car also comes with a driving log, where the owner has written down every time he has filled the car up with gasoline. He has written the date, millage, place, price and how many liters. In total there are over 150 noted fill ups. At the time of writing, the car has been recently serviced and has just passed an MOT inspection.
