Exterior: This Mercedes 280SL has a nice but older paintwork from 1983. The chrome parts on this Mercedes W113 look very nice and the body is nice and straight. As you can see in the pictures, it comes with the matching hardtop in black. The hardtop needs a little bit of TLC but it is all there. The soft top is also in black. Most likely it is the Mercedes original soft top and is slightly sun faded.
Interior: The Mercedes 280SL is still in the original MB tex vinyl and original red carpets. All instruments are working properly, and the heat switches are turning.
Engine: The 280 engine fires right up and sounds happy. A raspy exhaust note from the stainless-steel exhaust system. Gearbox and final drive sounds normal. This Mercedes 280SL was not used for the last two years so it is advisable to make a small service before putting it back to use. With the 280SL, you get some extra power and I think the manual gearbox makes driving more fun.
History: This Mercedes 280SL was sold new here in Sweden back in 1970. Since 1975 it has been with the same owner. It was repainted and received two new fenders front in 1983. Comes with original owner’s manual, spare and documents from Technical Control and some parts bought over the years. The Mercedes W133 is a great classic that you can enjoy as a convertible in the summer and then with the hardtop as a coupe on the cooler days.
