Mercedes 300 Adenauer

Mercedes 300 Cabriolet W186 for sale

Exterior: The Mercedes 300 where produce from 1951 until 1962 and from W186 there where 642 Convertibles built. Then 65 more of the W189. This car had an extensive restoration done here in Sweden during the years 1987-1990. After this the car has been used only as an enthusiast car on sunny days. The black paint is in a very good condition just like the chrome. All doors and panels have a very good fit and close the way they should on a Mercedes. The big soft top is also new and has a very good stretch. This is a car that gets a lot of road presence!

Interior: When you sit inside a Mercedes 300 Adenauer Convertible it is easy to understand this was one of Mercedes finest cars in the production line. The detailed chrome on the dashboard makes a perfect contrast towards the red leather. For me the best colour combination on any classic car is black with red interior and this big Mercedes W186 really comes alive when you pull the top down and you can see the bright red leather as the car is driving by. And the condition of the interior is just stunning. Every little chrome detail inside the car is just perfect, just like carpets and headliner. The beautiful time period correct radio in the centre of the dashboard.

Engine: Starts easy and runs very nice. Normal service and maintenance over the years. Normal sounds from engine, gearbox and final drive. During the restoration completed 1990 the bearings and all gaskets in the engine where replaced.

History: This Mercedes 300 W186 Cabriolet sold new here in Sweden on the 4th of February 1954. It comes with binder showing all receipts for the restoration. The car had odometer reading 21908 in 1990 when the restoration was completed, and it is today 28300. But the car has been used every year and has been taken trough technical inspection (TUF) here in Sweden almost every year. The first owner of this car was a company by the name of Osram Electric. After this there is a full owner’s history by date and name.

Mercedes 170 VA 1952

Mercedes 170 VA 1952

En orenoverad originalbil. Har dock fått en ny lack någon gång under resan. Kromet på bilen behöver förnyas annars är bilen i mycket gott skick, och den är så pålitlig att det blir tråkigt. Just denna Mercedes är såld. Om du har en sådan bil eller liknande som du vill sälja är vi intresserade. Eventuellt kan vi hjälpa dig att sälja den.

This is an unrestored original car in very nice condition. It was repainted some time during its life in original black cellulose paint. We have not seen any signs of any welding anywhere. Some of the chrome needs to be redone to bring up the shine a star like this should have. This car is so dependable you will easily get bored. We will take this car with us to Auto moto depoca in Padova Italy.

The Mercedes-Benz W136 (and similar W191) was Mercedes-Benz's line of four-cylinder automobiles from the mid-1930s into the 1950s. It became the foundation on which the company rebuilt after World War II because the tooling had survived Allied bombing. From May 1949 the car was offered with an exceptionally economical 38 PS diesel engine. This was the world's third diesel fueled passenger car, and the first to be introduced after the war. The Mercedes-Benz 170 SV and 170 SD were also built briefly in Argentina from 1953-1955 in sedan, taxi, station wagon, pick-up and van versions
