Opening Hours and How to Get to Classix by Schiebler in Sweden
Monday-Thursday: 07:00-17:00
Friday: Closed
Saturday & Sunday: 09:00-17:00
Please keep in mind that we only show cars by booked appointment. This is because we store our cars under covers in a warehouse, which may require us to move 4-5 other cars before we can bring out the car you wish to see. So, if you just want to look at classic cars, we may not be the ideal holiday destination. Instead, I recommend visiting Autoseum in Simrishamn, a wonderful placed filled with classic cars of all types. Another option in our region is Classic Car House in Copenhagen Denmark.
However, please note that if you are coming to purchase a classic car from us, we will open our doors at any time. Our website is consistently updated with the cars we currently have for sale, and you can always reach us on the phone or WhatsApp with any inquiries.
Before your visit: We always have plenty of pictures and often detailed videos of every car we have for sale available. Therefore, we encourage you to erase every question mark before time and money is spent both for you and for us.
Coming to see a classic car by air: The closest international airport is Copenhagen in Denmark. However, there are also Swedish airports such as Malmö and Ängelholm, both of which are about a 45-minute drive away from us.
From Copenhagen airport, walk straight out in the arrival hall and a sign with trains can be seen on your left-hand side. These trains leave every 10-15 minutes, and if you want to check the schedule beforehand, you can see it here: www.sj.se. You can take the train to Malmö central station, and we will be happy to pick you up from here. Alternatively, you can continue to Häljarp station, which is just a few minutes from our facility.
Inspection of the car at our facility: We have a lift, so you will be able to inspect the car from underneath. Most of the time, we are able to take the car for a test drive. However, during winter, if there is snow or salt on the streets, it will not be possible. If you prefer a third-party opinion, there are some garages in the area, but this needs to be booked in advance.
Payments: So, you have found your dream car and are ready to proceed with the payment. Please note that we cannot accept cash in any currency. However, the banking system is improving. If you wish to take the car with you on the same day, you may need to make some arrangements
with your bank prior to your visit. Inform your contact at the bank about your plans to ensure a smooth and fast transaction. If you are making the payment yourself at our location, keep in mind that some banks have payment limits that can be raised prior to your visit with us.
Transport of your classic/sports car after the purchase:
We collaborate with a local transport company and can offer you a competitive price if you purchase the car from us. If your car is going overseas, we can assist you in finding a reliable shipping agent and possibly deliver your car to the port. During winter, if your car requires closed transport, we also have good contacts for this service.
Here are some price examples for transportation:
• Transport on an open truck to the north part of Germany: 500-700 Euro
• Transport on an open truck to the south part of Germany: 700-1000 Euro
• Transport on an open truck to The Netherlands: 600 Euro
• Container to USA East coast: approximately 2500 Euro
• Container to USA West coast: approximately 3000 Euro
• Ferry from Gothenburg to Immingham U.K with DFDS Seaways: approximately 700 Euro
Hotels in our area if you need to stay over.
- Hotel Öresund in Landskrona just 12 min away by car.
- Sundblick B&B by the ocean just 6 min away by car
- Grand Hotel in Lund is 25 min away but well worth the drive. And Lund is a wonderful little town with many things to see.
Please check the import regulations for classic cars in your country. In Sweden, there are no taxes to be paid when we export a car, and there is also no value-added tax (VAT) that can be deducted. Within the EU, there should not be any tax for you importing the car. However, in some countries, there are fees.
• United Kingdom: Importing a classic car is today a 5% duty on the purchase price.
• Denmark: The car must be at least 35 years old to be considered "classic," and the fees are based on the original purchase price when the car was new.
• Germany: A new TÜV inspection will cost approximately 300 Euro.
